Independence day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and respect at Sage International school Danish Kunj the best CBSE schools in Kolar. The Chief Guest was welcomed by a guard of honour by the students of the school. The tricolour Indian flag was unfurled by the Chief Guest to commemorate the sovereignty of our nation and all in unison sang the national anthem with devotion and feeling of patriotism.
The ceremony started exactly at 8 AM with a large crowd of staff and students. The head of the school welcomed the gathering and introduced the Chief Guest who addressed the gathering with powerful words.
The students of the Sage International school, one of the top private schools in Bhopal presented a wonderful programme. The children demonstrated the best of their talents and showed the performance of a very higher level. There were powerful Hindi and English speeches delivered by the senior-most students.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks. In the end, there were refreshments for the guests, students as well as the staff. Two days before the Independence Day the students visited the Shaurya Smarak to pay homage to the army men and martyrs of India.
Indeed it was a day of joy, a day to love and respect to our nation and make it a better place for Indians to live and experience the freedom, peace and unity in diversity. It was 15th August 1947 the historic date on which sovereign India’s first Prime Minister unfurled the tricolour of the nation on the glorious Red Fort. The day is significant in the history of India as bringing an end to the British colonial rule in India.
